The Multicultural Council is requested to review and provide its opinion on waste management and informational matters relating to waste collection in Rangárþing eystra.
The Council reviews waste collection services in Rangárþing eystra and submits proposals for changes intended to benefit the widest possible range of residents

3.How to encourage foreign residents to vote

A letter to be sent to foreign residents in advance of the upcoming municipal elections is presented. Furthermore, the Council is introduced to a planned course for foreign residents on the governmental system in Iceland.
The Council approves the distribution of the letter with the amendments discussed at the meeting. The Council welcomes the offering of education on the Icelandic governmental system in the lead-up to the elections and encourages all foreign residents to make use of this opportunity and participate in the training.
