What is the role of the Multicultural Council?

The Multicultural Council of Rangárþing eystra is now celebrating it´s one year anaversery. 

The council's primary responsibilities encompass:

1. Proposing the municipality's goals and policies regarding new residents to both the Family Committee and the local government.
2. Overseeing the effective implementation of the local government's approved objectives in this regard.
3. Providing guidance to the local government, committees, and institutions of Rangárþing eystra on matters and concerns related to immigrant residents.
4. Serving as a consultation platform for immigrants among the municipality's residents, contributing to the establishment of a multicultural society.
