Rangárþing eystra has recently been removing unregistered vehicles from public areas in Hvolsvöllur. As there are still several unregistered cars located on private residential properties, the municipality is offering residents assistance in removing these vehicles and transporting them to the Strönd recycling center free of charge.

Rangárþing eystra Municipality is accepting applications for the Rangárþing eystra Cultural Fund for the spring allocation of 2025, in accordance with the fund's grant allocation rules. The grant amount will be determined by each year's budget.
