Þorrablót is an Icelandic midwinter festival, named for the month of Þorri of the historical Icelandic calendar (corresponding to mid January to mid February), and blót, literally meaning sacrifice.
Happy New Year and many thanks for the past. Starting a new year in play and work is always extremely exciting. We have a lot ahead of us in Rangárþing eystra in the new year – a whole lot of challenges and exciting projects. I look forward to the year 2024 and have full faith that it will be a good one for us.
