Day of the women's associations is the 1st of February

Today is the day of Women's associations, Thursday, February 1st. In Rangárþing eystra, there exist six women's associations that play an integral role in our esteemed society. These women's associations diligently engage in charitable initiatives with meticulous care. Moreover, they serve as a vital platform for women to converge, fostering camaraderie and enjoyable experiences.

Kvenfélagið Eining í Hvolhrepp, founded in 1926

Kvenfélagið Hallgerður í Fljótshlíð, founded in 1923

Kvenfélagið Bergþóra í Vestur-Landeyjum, founded in 1935

Kvenfélagið Freyja í Austur-Landeyjum, founded in 1934

Kvenfélagið Eygló undir Vestur-Eyjafjöllum, founded in 1944

Kvenfélagið Fjallkonan undir Austur- Eyjafjöllum, founded in 1939
